I completely designed SociallOne from the ground up, a user-friendly platform to make social media management easier for businesses. I integrated a ton of cool features to make managing social media more intuitive and efficient.

Phase 1 - Challenge

Small businesses struggled with the mess of managing multiple social media accounts. Too many tools, too little time, and zero insights into results!

My goal was to create an intuitive and user-friendly all-in-one platform. I wanted to make it super simple for any business owner to manage their social media accounts, track their performance and engage with their audience!

Results

By improving onboarding, we boosted profile linking from 10% to 40%, making it easier for users to get started. With our new dashboard, planner, and Anya AI, 10% of 10k users are now active daily, spending an average of 15 minutes on the platform. And the best part? Businesses are posting 200+ times daily, staying consistent and connected with their audiences like never before!, plus our investors loved the UI/UX of our app.

Process

Research & Analysis: I surveyed over 600 small businesses to understand their needs and challenges. Plus, I even managed Social One’s social media for months, living and breathing in their shoes. This helped me see their pain points first hand.

Ideation: Initial design exploration involved sketching, wireframing, and exploring multiple layouts. Special attention was given to designing the dashboard to show 100+ metrics at a glance. The focus was on ease of use and accessibility for all business owners.

Design: The initial dashboard design had simple cards for easy platform navigation, but after my research, I realized the need for deeper data insights. So I created wireframes for the new dashboard with 100+ metrics. I also designed the AI agent, Anya to make social media easier, fun, and accessible to every user! I created the AI assistant to be a game changer. We also integrated the calendar view and post scheduling features.

Iteration: I incorporated feedback by continuously iterating the design. This helped improve the user experience and create a better platform for all users.


Visual Design & Style Guide: We developed a cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the app. We also created a style guide to maintain design consistency in future updates.

Phase 2 - Challenge

While users loved the new dashboard and at-a-glance performance metrics, they expressed concerns about the posting experience and weren’t finding the AI as helpful as it could be. It was clear we needed to enhance the content creation aspect of the platform.

My goal was to enhance the posting experience, improve the AI to deliver more actionable insights and give the user an easier time creating content, and introduce a referral system to drive further user acquisition.

Process

Gathering Direct User Feedback: To gain a deeper understanding of the pain points, I personally reached out to our active users.

Our user feedback revealed that I had to take our design into the next level. Thus I came in and had to use the user insights to create user actions.

Design Decisions (Improved Process)

Enhanced Posting Experience: I focused on integrating AI suggestions directly into the input fields, making them more personalized and customizable. Users can now see the AI suggestions and change them so that they can add their creativity to it.

Improved AI Bot: I gave the AI bot access to more data, such as Google Search, Youtube Search and Threads search to provide users with data to generate more content ideas and make the content creation easier. I also designed a way for the users to control how the AI bot should analyze the new content.

Referral Feature: I created a referral feature to provide our services to as many users as possible. Thus we designed the referral feature with the offer to give out the “Pro” version when they have referrals and a payment limitations for our business interests.

Conclusion

This project taught me the importance of adaptability and user feedback. It showed me how to make a complex system very intuitive for users. Also, AI can make anything easy! I’m obsessed!

I am proud of how the platform made the life of business owners so much easier. I'm excited to implement the design principles in my upcoming projects!
